Associate General Manager - Engineering

Overview

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Manufacturing Automation & Digitization to lead the strategic implementation of digital systems across manufacturing operations, within the Projects department.

What you'll do

• Drive end-to-end design, selection, and deployment of digital platforms across manufacturing sites.
• Lead MES, EMS, and CMMS implementation.
• Develop strategic plans for digital transformation in collaboration with IT, engineering, and operations.
• Lead automation and instrumentation scope in greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Assess and modernize OT systems in line with Industry 4.0 standards, ensuring secure and scalable architecture.
• Provide expert guidance on automation and digital technologies to cross-functional teams.
• Support seamless integration with SAP S/4 HANA PM, LIMS, QMS, SCADA, and other enterprise systems.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, production, and IT, to gather requirements, define processes, and align with CDMO pharmaceutical maintenance engineering needs.
• Identify and assess opportunities for manufacturing digitalization, such as CMMS, MES, EMS, and OT integration, and develop a strategic rollout plan including readiness evaluation, solution selection, implementation, and change management.
• Collaborate with IT and external consultants to resolve technical issues, implement system enhancements, and ensure smooth operation of digitization initiatives.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing automation and digital systems within a regulated industry.
• Expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and Operational Technology (OT) upgrades.

Nice to have

• Preferred experience in Pharma, Chemicals, or Life Sciences.
• Hands-on experience in capital projects as an Automation and Instrumentation Lead, particularly in greenfield and brownfield project environments.
