Overview
The Associate Information Security Engineer supports implementation and day-to-day operations of the organization’s network and information security controls to protect data, systems, and networks from cyber threats.
What you'll do
- Deploy, configure, and maintain security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DMARC, DNS, and VPN.
- Review and implement security configurations aligned to enterprise standards.
- Participate in network security technology evaluation and provide recommendations under guidance.
- Create, modify, and remove network security policies and objects within tools such as Fortinet UTM, WAF, DMARC, and Netskope ZTNA.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to Network Security offerings.
- Administer Enterprise Restricted Browser (Island.io) access with the Partner Enablement team.
- Develop scripts and automation (e.g., Python, Fortinet Security Fabric) to improve network security operations.
What you'll need
- 2–6 years of experience in network or network security or a related field.
- Working knowledge of enterprise network operations, firewall operations, and intrusion detection & prevention.
- Working knowledge of web proxy and IPSec/SSL-VPN/ZTNA.
- Ability to troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions.
- Experience creating technical documentation using Lucidchart, Visio, or similar diagramming tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise change management using ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar platforms.
Nice to have
- Experience administering Fortinet products including FortiGate, FortiWeb, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiADC, and FortiAuthenticator.
- Experience with Netskope offerings including Next Generation Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Private Access, Cloud Firewall, and SkopeAI.
- Experience with endpoint protection, cloud security, and incident response.
- Experience with DMARC email reputation security using Valimail.
- Experience using InfoBlox IPAM.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Professional certifications including NSE 4, NSE 5 Forti modules, CCNA, and CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
