Lead Information Security Engineer

Overview

Lead Information Security Engineer role spanning Security Architecture and Cyber Defence teams, with hands-on work across security design, offensive testing, and security engineering.

What you'll do

• Lead and contribute to security architecture initiatives to improve security posture across teams.
• Threat model system and application designs, identify security gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Review AI system designs and guardrails, and provide security-by-design feedback before deployment.
• Plan and run offensive security tests across web apps, APIs, cloud environments, and infrastructure.
• Write and contribute to scripts, automation, and tools for security operations and testing workflows.
• Operate and extend SIEM (Google SecOps), including connectors, detection rule tuning, and alert quality improvements.
• Support incident response and post-incident reviews, including analysis and improvement of detections.

What you'll need

• At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in information security across engineering, testing, or architecture.
• Ability to read, reason about, and contribute to code and scripts without AI assistance.
• Ability to lead initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams and drive work to completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to build trust and working relationships across functions, time zones, and cultures.
• Required high standard of written and spoken English.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
