Associate – MS Purview, ITRA, Advisory

Overview

Associate role in PwC's Advisory practice (FS X-Sector, Risk Management) focused on Microsoft Purview implementations for internal audit and compliance clients, working as a Senior Microsoft Purview Consultant to lead end-to-end Purview deployments, design enterprise compliance architectures, and advise on data protection, insider risk, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

• Architect and lead Microsoft Purview deployments across Information Protection and auto-classification, Enterprise and Endpoint DLP, Insider Risk Management and Adaptive Protection, eDiscovery (Standard and Premium), Audit (Standard and Premium), and Records and Data Lifecycle Management.
• Design label taxonomy, retention models, and policy hierarchies aligned to business risk and regulation.
• Lead stakeholder workshops with Legal, Compliance, HR, InfoSec, and IT.
• Own Insider Risk and eDiscovery operating models, workflows, and escalation paths.
• Integrate Purview controls with Microsoft Defender, Intune, and identity signals.
• Provide governance for Copilot and AI readiness using classification and DLP controls.
• Mentor junior consultants and review technical designs.
• Define KPIs, compliance maturity models, and value-realization metrics.

What you'll need

• 5–6 years of experience in M365 Security and Compliance, with deep Purview leadership.
• 4–7 years of experience required (as stated in the ad's experience field).
• Hands-on expertise in Purview Information Protection and auto-labeling strategies.
• Hands-on expertise in Endpoint DLP, Adaptive Protection, and Insider Risk.
• Hands-on expertise in eDiscovery Premium and legal hold strategy.
• Hands-on expertise in Compliance Manager and audit readiness.
• Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements (GDPR, DPDPA, HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS).
• Proven experience in enterprise or regulated-industry deployments.
• SC-400 certification (mandatory).
• Bachelor of Technology (required degree/field of study).
• Education qualification: any graduate or postgraduate degree.
• PowerShell automation for Purview policy management (mandatory skill set).
• Experience with multi-geo and large M365 tenants (mandatory skill set).
• Consulting or GSI delivery experience (mandatory skill set).
• Executive-level communication and solution storytelling (mandatory skill set).
