Associate Pricing Scientist

Overview

Associate Pricing Scientist responsible for developing pricing and promotion analytics, predictive models, statistical analyses, and demand forecasts for retail and e-commerce applications.

What you'll do

• Develop predictive models for price elasticity, customer segmentation, and discount optimization.
• Perform hypothesis testing and A/B testing to assess pricing changes.
• Build prototypes of analytics solutions with pricing strategy and insights teams.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and present analytical findings.
• Forecast demand drivers using structural time series and Naïve Bayes approaches.
• Analyze macroeconomic impacts on category and regional performance.
• Build systems that model behavioral data for promotional strategies.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of relevant data science or pricing science experience in retail or e-commerce analytics.
• Fundamental knowledge of price elasticity, price-demand curves, econometrics, and optimization techniques.
• Applied machine learning knowledge in classification and regression.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or R.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency in Snowflake or SQL.
• Experience with data wrangling, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, clustering, and time-series forecasting.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in management science, data science, economics, or mathematics.
