Overview
Serve as a design authority for a low- to medium-complexity engineering discipline while completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects. Apply design thinking and design-for-excellence concepts to Process Automation projects in the Energy Industries division.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement ongoing DCS system security strategies and engineering application standards.
- Apply security standards such as IEC 62443/ISA 99, NIST SP 800-82, or NERC CIP.
- Define, design, and implement enterprise cybersecurity solutions to safeguard against advanced threats in diverse environments.
- Work with firewalls, networking systems, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Apply cybersecurity principles including defense-in-depth, network segmentation, security monitoring, incident response, access management, OT patch management, and secure remote access.
- Apply expertise in OT environments, corporate application access control, network routing, packet analysis, and cyber threat analysis.
- Support project teams in security implementation, design reviews, and direct contract-related tasks.
- Develop and document global standards and tools for control system engineers.
- Establish standards for IT asset and control network monitoring.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design customized technical solutions and create supporting materials.
- Contribute to proposals by estimating hours and equipment requirements.
- Support business development efforts by certifying new cybersecurity controls.
- Provide training to technical teams and stay updated on networking and control system products, including System 800xA and Symphony Plus.
- Install and integrate networking components, servers, and client systems.
- Work with managed switches, firewalls, network analysis tools such as Forescout, network monitoring systems such as Nozomi, and SIEM platforms such as QRadar, Splunk, and LogRhythm.
What you'll need
- Engineering degree with experience in networking or cybersecurity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient documentation skills to create clear and consistent guidelines and customer materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, development, and secure coding practices.
