Associate/Senior Associate, PL/SQL Developer, Wealth Management Technology

Overview

Design, develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL database solutions for Wealth Management Technology, including Avaloq-related work, at DBS Bank.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for high-volume transactional systems.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions.
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Create and maintain database objects following coding standards and best practices.
• Support production issues, troubleshoot data-related problems, and implement fixes.
• Work closely with business analysts, application developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.

What you'll need

• 3-7 years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Minimum Graduation or Post Graduation, with Computer Science preferred.
• Oracle database development experience in production environments.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting capability.
• Strong experience in Oracle Database and PL/SQL Development.
• Good understanding of Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Views, Indexes, Sequences, Cursors.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and query tuning.
• Experience with performance optimization using Explain Plans and indexing strategies.
• Good understanding of database concepts, normalization, and relational database design.
• Experience in handling large datasets and bulk processing.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git, SVN, or similar.
• Should have strong expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining Oracle database solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience as Avaloq developer or Test Master.
• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Asset Management, or Capital Markets domain.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data migration activities.
• Experience working with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of Java or application integration technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand complex business requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and domains.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Prior experience in financial services projects will be an added advantage.
