Overview
Field-based Associate Service Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, coordinating field schedules and travel, and managing field service assets and documentation.
What you'll do
- Exercise judgment to select methods and techniques to obtain solutions within defined practices and policies.
- Independently manage your work calendar and travel schedule.
- Collaborate with senior field service engineers and the sales team.
- Manage and control field inventory, tools, test equipment, and technical documentation.
- Prepare and submit complete, accurate, and timely field service documentation, including reports, expense reports, and checklists.
- Travel to assist other field service territories and instruct/train customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Perform installation and maintenance, including software/hardware upgrades/updates, at locations such as conventions, road shows, and cadaver labs.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Diploma or Engineering in Electronics/Biomedical/Electrical.
- Present technical field service experience (preferred).
- Functional technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers.
- Ability to follow mentorship instructions and guidance.
- Ability to schedule and work independently or with a team to solve problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Time management skills to meet customer requirements.
Nice to have
- Previous experience as a technical field service professional or in a relevant capacity.
- Experience in OT.
