Technology Operations Engineer

Overview

Technology Operations Engineer supporting operational health of enterprise technology systems including performance, availability, interoperability, and reliability. Provides first- and second-level operational support and helps deliver infrastructure solutions for project-based components.

What you'll do

• Provide first- and second-level support for enterprise systems and databases.
• Maintain, upgrade, and optimize live, pre-production, and development environments for uptime.
• Troubleshoot and fix (or escalate) applications, networks, systems, and databases to resolve issues.
• Develop and validate basic system design prototypes and infrastructure tests to meet functional specifications.
• Build basic hardware/software configurations and prepare system components for installation.
• Provide post-implementation support and enhancements as needed.
• Suggest and apply published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure license/regulatory compliance.

What you'll need

• 2 years of experience writing technical documentation in an infrastructure development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of education).
• 1 year of experience working in the retail industry in a large matrixed IT organization interacting with director-level or above senior management.
• 1 year of experience working with third-party IT vendors and/or systems solution providers.
• Experience with systems management, diagnostics, and support across infrastructure and applications.
• Familiarity with networking, server, Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX, database, and storage technologies.
• Exposure to one or more database platforms including Sybase, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle Database.

• On-site office in Bengaluru and requires 24x7 operational support with rotational shifts and possible on-call/alternate schedules.
