Associate Vice President - Data Audit Management

Overview

Associate Vice President role in Data Audit Management at NAB Innovation Centre India, supporting planning, execution and reporting of audit activities with a focus on strengthening the organisation's data risk posture.

What you'll do

• Support the planning, execution and reporting of audit activities as per the Audit Charter and annual Audit Plan.
• Conduct audits and assessments across data architecture, data platforms, data management, governance, privacy, ethics and records management.
• Evaluate control effectiveness and leverage data analytics to ensure integrity, confidentiality and compliance.
• Efficiently deliver and document quality audit workpapers in the systems of record, including walkthroughs, control identification, control design assessments and control operating effectiveness testing.
• Efficiently verify audit raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicates issues are complete, supported by quality workpapers.
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to colleagues to promote a performance and development culture.
• Plan and project manage delivery of audits within agreed resource and time budgets.
• Draft succinct and clear audit assignment plans that reflect agreed scope.
• Form effective working relationships with business contacts during audits so information can be gathered and facts verified, and escalate delivery problems where they cannot be directly solved.
• Proactively manage risk, meet all policy and compliance requirements, perform controls, adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role, and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.

What you'll need

• Essential capabilities and skills: data risk and controls understanding.
• Highly organised and self starter.
• Communicating with influence.
• Working knowledge of CPG235, BSBS239, GDPR, DORA, data architecture, data platforms, data management, governance, privacy, ethics and records management.
• 11-14 years in financial services risk-based functions or internal audit in professional services firms.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g. CDMP, CDPSE, CISA, CISSP).
