Audio Acoustics & Tuning Engineer

Overview

Tune and validate end-to-end audio and acoustic solutions on Snapdragon platforms across mobile, XR, compute, IoT, and automotive products.

What you'll do

• Execute acoustic and audio feature tuning against carrier and customer KPIs.
• Evaluate audio quality using subjective and objective methods.
• Analyze audio signals and validate algorithms and use cases.
• Validate audio solutions across hardware and software stacks.
• Troubleshoot system-level audio hardware and software issues.
• Develop Python or MATLAB automation for tuning, measurement, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with R&D, platform, systems, and customer teams on commercialization.

What you'll need

• At least 2 years of audio, acoustics, systems engineering, or related experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Strong fundamentals in audio signal processing.
• Hands-on acoustic tuning and audio feature validation experience.
• Understanding of audio hardware schematics and analog/digital components.
• Knowledge of digital audio interfaces and audio subsystems.
• Python or MATLAB programming and scripting skills.
• Experience using audio analyzers for objective audio and acoustic measurements.

Nice to have

• Experience building tuning automation, batch processing, and analysis pipelines.
• Exposure to audio pre- and post-processing algorithms.
• Experience with Qualcomm tools and platforms.
