Overview
As an Automation Engineer, you will test, create, implement and support robotic process and desktop automations. You will work on automation solutions of moderate complexity, significance and risk.
What you'll do
- Perform design, scripting, testing, implementation, maintenance and modification of automations.
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Define automation data needs across systems and create plans to coordinate test data.
- Create and execute performance tests to ensure expected automation performance levels are achieved.
- Lead or support clients and technical staff in investigating, analyzing and resolving technical problems.
- Write documentation describing automation capabilities and operating procedures.
- Estimate and define timetables and project tasks.
- Analyze and estimate project cost and time.
- Conduct analysis of organizational needs for creating and implementing automation solutions.
- Participate in feasibility assessments of new automation opportunities and help determine the best approach for automation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of ten years of experience.
Nice to have
- Thorough knowledge of data and process modeling, system and application testing, software development life cycle, application design and architecture, programming, implementation, change controls and robotics suites.
- Thorough understanding of information and release management, and product and vendor evaluation.
- Thorough knowledge of Java, VBA languages, or other configuration/scripting type technology.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, project management and teamwork/collaboration skills.
- Comprehensive analytical, technical and application development/programming skills.
- Adeptness at forging relationships, influencing others, overcoming resistance and producing results.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
