Avionics Verification Engineer (Engineer 2)

Overview

Verification and validation of safety-critical real-time embedded avionics software conforming to the DO-178 B/C standard for Airbus Helicopters.

What you'll do

• Verify and validate high-level requirements.
• Perform unit-level verification of software modules.
• Carry out integration testing (software-software and software-hardware).
• Analyse issues raised during testing campaigns or in-service usage.
• Lead and mentor team members for testing.
• Drive certification audits under the verification perimeter.

What you'll need

• Exposure to the full software lifecycle, including software requirements definition, dynamic and static design, coding and verification activities in industrialised domains.
• Strong experience in verification activities.
• Hands-on experience in requirements-based testing.
• Hands-on experience in unit and integration testing (host and target environment).
• Hands-on experience in software configuration management.
• Hands-on experience in software requirements and design reviews.
• Knowledge of standards (requirements, design, C coding).
• Work experience on the DO-178 standard.
• Project management skills.
• Basic understanding of RTOS.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Quick learner.

Nice to have

• Embedded programming.
• Embedded software requirements engineering and architecture (static and dynamic).
• Design and development (module-level design, interfaces, algorithm).
• Utilisation of SCADE, RTRT or other test environments.
• Knowledge of avionics systems and networks.
• Model-based testing.
