Overview

AVP Tech / Data Engineering Lead to lead data engineers and build scalable data pipelines and platforms at LPL Financial’s Global Capability Center.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
• Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions.
• Architect and optimize a system of record application with data warehousing and data lake solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish and enforce data engineering best practices, including governance and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems for high availability and performance.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in data engineering.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.
• Experience with data technologies such as RDS, Spark, Kafka, and Flink.
• Expertise in data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and Redshift.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
