Overview
Back End Developer responsible for Java/J2EE application development and enterprise software delivery within an Agile development squad. The role supports Deutsche Bank’s digitalization journey through solution design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and continuous integration.
What you'll do
- Design and discuss solutions for user stories and tasks.
- Develop and unit-test software.
- Integrate, deploy, maintain and improve software.
- Perform peer code reviews.
- Participate in squad activities and ceremonies, including daily stand-up/scrum meetings.
- Participate in Dev chapter lead activities.
- Apply continuous integration best practices, including SCM, build automation, unit testing and dependency management.
- Collaborate with squad members to achieve Squad/Sprint objectives.
- Report progress and updates in Agile team management tools, including JIRA/Confluence.
- Manage individual task priorities and deliverables.
- Ensure the quality of solutions.
- Contribute to planning and continuous improvement activities.
- Support the PO, Analyst and Scrum Master.
- Design, develop, enhance, maintain and support enterprise applications in line with IT application lifecycle standards and technology strategy.
- Participate in functional design, technical design, coding, code reviews, testing and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
What you'll need
- Min 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development.
- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE and Spring Framework.
- Solid experience with Web Services, including SOAP/REST APIs.
- Good knowledge of messaging platforms, including JMS and MQ.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or similar.
- Strong understanding of batch processing, application security and enterprise application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with application servers such as Tomcat, WildFly, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in end-to-end testing, debugging, troubleshooting and production support.
- A strong DevOps mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with Camunda or any BPM (Business Process Management) platform.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
