Board Level Power Delivery Design Engineer

Overview

Design and debug power delivery systems for customer hardware platforms based on Intel Core and Atom processors. The role supports customer design reviews, board bring-up, debugging, and technical assistance.

What you'll do

• Design Buck, Boost, and multi-phase power delivery networks.
• Analyze control loops, power integrity, power budgets, and processor power rails.
• Review schematics, complex digital and analog circuits, PCB layouts, and multilayer stack-ups.
• Perform board power-on and debug activities using laboratory tools.
• Analyze debug results, triage failures, and develop corrective actions.
• Provide customer support for power delivery design, board debug, and power-on activities.
• Travel to customer locations across India for design reviews, debugging, and training.

What you'll need

• 7–12 years of industry experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of power delivery requirements, IMVP specifications, and PDN analysis.
• Experience with schematic tools such as Cadence OrCAD, Mentor Graphics xPedition, or Altium Designer.
• Experience with 8–16-layer PCB stack-up design and processor power rail layout guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence Sigrity or Siemens HyperLynx.
• Experience debugging Intel processor-based platforms using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads.

Nice to have

• Customer-facing experience and technical presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Intel platform architecture, chipsets, and ecosystem components.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC requirements, JEDEC, and USB-3.2 Type C Power Delivery standards.
• Experience creating technical documentation, application notes, and customer training.

Details

• On-site role in Bangalore, India.
• Regular domestic travel of up to 40–50%.
• Shift 1 (India).
