BUK TESCO Bank Mobile IN - VP Product Owner

Overview

Own and maximise the value of the BUK TESCO Bank Mobile IN product by defining its vision, managing and prioritising the product backlog, and acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams.

What you'll do

• Ensure the product and its features are aligned with broader business objectives and the organisation's overall strategy.
• Use market research, customer feedback and industry trend monitoring to identify new products, features or enhancements.
• Communicate the product vision and goals to delivery teams so they understand and are inspired by the business value of each feature or user story.
• Write clear, concise user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, refining them so the development team has the information needed to implement features.
• Participate in Agile events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Create, maintain and prioritise the product backlog, delivering the highest value features first while balancing risk mitigation and future proofing against product strategy.
• Act as the voice of the customer by continuously gathering feedback from customers and end-users.
• Review and accept or reject work completed by the development team against agreed acceptance criteria.
• Work with stakeholders such as customers, business leaders and marketing teams to gather requirements, define product goals and align the product vision with business objectives.
• Assess product performance using KPIs and customer feedback, adjusting the backlog and roadmap accordingly.
• Manage ongoing readiness and run activities of live products, including monitoring, governance and approvals.
• Identify, escalate and mitigate product risks, aligning product management with control functions.
• Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
• Plan resources, budgets and policies, manage and maintain policies and processes, and deliver continuous improvements.
• Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership and senior management, on functional and cross-functional impacts and alignment.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
• Collaborate with other business-aligned support areas to stay current with business activity and strategy.

What you'll need

• Good understanding and experience of SDLC, Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience in architecture, APIs, integrations and cloud-based services.
• Strong experience in the Mobile App Development Lifecycle and mobile architecture concepts.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices and app store release processes.
• Experience with app store ratings and reviews, and mobile analytics platforms.
• Experience with customer journey mapping, mobile app customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS) and product value realisation.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, AWS, DevOps or Confluence.
• Experience delivering API/integration change across the full lifecycle, working with engineering, architecture and third parties.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Understanding of risk and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
