Business Line Functions & Operations - Internal Audit Analyst

Overview

As an Internal Audit Auditor I (Analyst) in MUFG, you support independent, objective assurance and consulting to evaluate the effectiveness of the bank’s governance, risk management, and control processes.

What you'll do

• Support internal audit execution across the end-to-end audit process including planning, fieldwork testing, and reporting.
• Conduct and support audits by evaluating operating effectiveness of control design and implementation in business/operations areas.
• Identify risks and controls and assist in developing audit scope and work programs.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and identify control weaknesses.
• Generate observations, communicate findings and issues to audit management, and support workpaper and report preparation.
• Document workpapers so they can stand alone for re-performance and are supported by tested control results.
• Participate in walkthroughs, interviews, and formal discussions with business stakeholders to communicate status and concerns.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related business discipline.
• 2-4 years and/or equivalent experience in internal audit and/or the financial services industry and related regulatory agencies.
• Effective verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including critical thinking for recommendations in complex regulatory/risk environments.
• Proficiency in technology as required, including MS Office and audit data analytics.
• Demonstrate professional skepticism and personal accountability.
