Job description
Overview
Costing and reporting of commodity parts based on the milestones of each project, supporting the Finance & Control function in Chennai.
What you'll do
- Cost and report commodity parts based on the milestones of each project (bottom costing, RFQ, COST, F4, IP/PB).
- Follow the costing guidelines and reference data, and support updates to the CGL.
- Capitalize product and process data pertaining to the commodity (SQ, Infosite, cost reports, etc.).
- Propose cost reduction opportunities in parts manufacturing processes.
- Challenge suppliers and stakeholders with proper technical and economic background explanations.
- Visit suppliers to collect required costing information and identify cost reduction improvement opportunities.
- Support digital transformation of processes and operations.
- Develop new process improvements and solutions for upstream projects.
What you'll need
- Working knowledge of process and costing.
Nice to have
- Tier 1 experience in the respective commodity.
