Capital Deployment and Liquidity Management, Private Financing Solutions (PFS), Associate

Overview

Associate role on the Capital Deployment & Liquidity Management team at HPS Investment Partners, supporting deal closings and ratings maintenance for Private Credit investments in Mumbai.

What you'll do

• Support investment operations across private credit, direct lending, high-grade credit, and CLO portfolios.
• Manage the full lifecycle of private rating requests with Fitch, Moody's, S&P, and KBRA, from initial submission through issuance of rating letters, credit estimates, and credit opinions.
• Oversee PPN and CUSIP request workflows and maintain supporting transaction documentation throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Review, validate, and maintain ratings information in internal systems, ensuring accurate capture of rating actions and security-level data.
• Create and maintain rating letter templates and trackers, and coordinate timely distribution of ratings-related information to investors and key stakeholders.
• Manage rating agency invoices, fee administration, and related operational processes.
• Coordinate preliminary and final private ratings required for certain accounts, including organizing meetings and calls between HPS and the rating agencies.
• Support insurance investment portfolios through reporting, data analysis, and ad hoc requests.

What you'll need

• 3-6 years of relevant work experience; asset management industry preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset, diligence, and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical skills, with a willingness to learn and implement new software applications.
• Ability to liaise with key stakeholders at all levels throughout the firm.
• Excel/MS Office proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality while adhering to the highest ethical standards, personally and professionally.

Nice to have

• Deal execution experience, preferably in private ratings management.

• Hybrid work schedule: 4/1 split (Monday to Thursday from office, Friday work from home).
