CES Field Engineer

Overview

Field engineer role supporting product performance analysis, field surveys, customer dissatisfaction handling and sales force coaching for Michelin tires.

What you'll do

• Analyze customer claims and end-of-life tire encoding to understand how products perform.
• Set up and manage performance and usage measurement plans (GST, Roulages Contrôlés, MC tires), tracking key parameters in operation and maintenance conditions.
• Detect unusual usage and alert your functional manager right away.
• Feed the DUS database, then write alerts, FE reports, and technical study reports, validated with your functional manager before sharing.
• Recommend standard equipment, proper work methods, and best practices.
• Coach the sales force on product implementation and claims handling, and champion our products in customer environments.
• Diagnose causes of dissatisfaction, use CT codes to identify main damage types, recommend first-level solutions, and follow your manager's guidance on the response.
• Track pre-defined CTs in the field.
• Track our offer and competitors' to note strengths and limitations, and relay the technical expectations of users and distributors.
• Carry out the actions your manager defines to bring any risk back to an acceptable level.
• Collect facts using standard methods in disputes, and pass findings to your technical correspondent, who prepares the litigation report.
• Fit mass-production or test tires, gather user observations and usage data, propose fleets to survey across varied conditions, and report findings.
