Clean Combustion Process Engineer

Overview

Develop process solutions for utility and industrial boilers in support of the Steam Power Clean Combustion Parts and Services business. The role covers tenders, detailed studies, contract execution, boiler thermal sizing and process assessments.

What you'll do

• Manage customer requests involving pressure-part materials, equipment upgrades and power-plant assessments.
• Perform combustion and process computations for combustor and component performance.
• Develop steam-generator performance guarantees and support commissioning, tuning and testing.
• Create engineering selections and deliverables for customer requirements.
• Document technical data according to engineering codes and design standards.
• Present or review technical and program materials.
• Lead small projects and support colleagues with less experience.

What you'll need

• At least 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or another engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of boiler design and operation.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Project management skills.
