Retirement Plan Consultant

Overview

Serve as the primary resource for plan sponsors and financial advisors on ERISA compliance, retirement plan design, governmental reporting, testing, loans, and distributions.

What you'll do

• Provide timely customer service, problem solving, and issue resolution.
• Assist clients with plan design, document updates, and regulatory obligations.
• Complete or assist with payroll processing, valuation reports, participant statements, and annual testing.
• Review and coordinate processing of distributions and loans.
• Prepare or review Form 5500 filings and support audit activities.
• Coordinate internal and external parties during new-client conversions.
• Mentor coordinators and oversee assigned plan activities.

What you'll need

• 3–5 or more years of ERISA experience in the retirement industry.
• Experience analyzing financial data.
• Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Analytical problem-solving ability.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and oversee plan associates.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Relius software.

Details

• Remote role in New Jersey.
• National base salary range: $60,000–$90,000 yearly.
