Cloud Engineer

Overview

Cloud Engineer responsible for delivering and operating robust cloud services and tooling for a containerized/microservice platform.

What you'll do

• Deliver robust, high-traffic cloud services from inception to full operation.
• Support an agile team to integrate and implement infrastructure for a 12-factor containerized/microservice platform.
• Develop cloud-focused tooling for technology teams to apply cloud services.
• Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams for alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance.
• Coordinate with engineering and infrastructure teams to meet system needs.
• Organize tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines.

What you'll need

• 3.6 to 6 years of dynamically more complex related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Experience running distributed systems in public cloud environments such as GCP or AWS.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Istio for container orchestration.
• Knowledge of Terraform for declarative infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef/Puppet/Ansible.
• Comfort with Linux command line and Linux administration, networking, and load balancing concepts.
