Overview

Senior Cloud Engineer for Cisco Webex Contact Center, responsible for defining the architecture and strategic direction of the data, analytics, and reporting platform.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and operate AI-ready data platform components for Webex Contact Center intelligent experiences.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and feature engineering frameworks to support AI/ML training and deployment.
• Build reusable AI platform capabilities such as feature stores, inference pipelines, semantic search, and vector retrieval.
• Implement high-performance streaming and batch data processing for real-time and historical reporting.
• Create APIs and platform services to expose AI-ready data to reporting, analytics, AI agents, routing, and workforce optimization.
• Optimize performance across ingestion, feature computation, inference, storage, retrieval, and serving for low latency and high reliability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture discussions and design reviews.

What you'll need

• 8+ years experience building distributed cloud-native SaaS applications.
• Strong software engineering expertise in Java and/or Python for production-grade backend services.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms using Kafka, Flink, Spark, Iceberg, Pinot, ClickHouse, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of AI/ML architectures including feature engineering, embeddings, vector search, RAG, semantic retrieval, and model-serving.
• Experience integrating ML models into large-scale production systems with model lifecycle, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, and cloud-native application design.
