Cloud Engineer

Overview

The Cloud Engineer builds and maintains infrastructure and data systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for 66degrees’ global clients.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with architects to design scalable and resilient infrastructure on GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Establish DevOps CI/CD pipelines within the cloud ecosystem.
• Implement security measures and help ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging for infrastructure health and availability.
• Design backup and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
• Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and IAM.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based container orchestration.
• Experience with GCP data services including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Firestore, Cloud Bigtable, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus management experience with Linux and Windows OS.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, GDPR, HIPAA).
