Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and evolution of a cloud-native platform, owning end-to-end platform capabilities and setting architectural direction.

What you'll do

• Develop platform features with an AI-first mindset and high engineering standards.
• Spike solutions ahead of platform feature development to clear architectural runway.
• Own team technical performance across capabilities, quality, stability, and velocity.
• Conduct code reviews on code quality, design, and implementation.
• Identify refactoring and performance optimization opportunities and lead them.
• Mentor junior software engineers with best practices and guidance.
• Communicate technical designs in writing, verbally, and visually for technical audiences.

What you'll need

• 12+ years proven experience as a Lead Engineer with a strong focus on AWS.
• Deep hands-on AWS services experience including EC2, Auto Scaling, EKS, ECS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Experience with ALB/NLB, Route 53, PrivateLink, EBS, EFS, S3, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Programming language experience in Java, Python, or GoLang.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform (or equivalent).
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes.
• Experience with logging/monitoring such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
