Cloud Migration Engineer

Overview

Cloud Migration Engineer role that assesses existing solutions and infrastructure for migration to the cloud, and plans, delivers and implements application and data migration using private and public cloud technologies.

What you'll do

• Evaluate current systems and infrastructure to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments.
• Plan and execute application and data migration strategies that are scalable and deliver high performance.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to implement cloud technologies that support business objectives.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the migration process to achieve seamless integration and operational efficiency.
• Act as an SME, collaborate with and manage the team, and take responsibility for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams, contribute on key decisions, and provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across teams.
• Lead the development and implementation of migration strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team to enhance overall performance.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of migration milestones.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and resolving technical challenges.

What you'll need

• Must have: proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Strong expertise in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for database environments.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and provide effective solutions.
• 15 years full time education.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Database Cloud Services.
• Experience with Oracle Database Architecture.
