Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview

Design, build, test and deploy cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure, acting as a subject matter expert and leading the team on cloud platform decisions.

What you'll do

• Design, build, test and deploy cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy infrastructure and platform environments.
• Create a proof of architecture to test architecture viability, security and performance.
• Collaborate with various teams to align architecture with business needs and technical requirements.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of new cloud technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud architecture and deployment strategies.
• Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and technical skill development.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Must have skills: proficiency in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
• Strong knowledge of application architecture design and testing methodologies.
• Ability to create and validate proof of architecture focusing on security and performance.
• Familiarity with integrating cloud and non-cloud systems in complex environments.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges in cloud platforms.
• Salesforce architecture experience.
• B2B Commerce domain knowledge: catalog/product modeling, pricing, entitlements, cart/checkout, account-based buying.
• Translates business capabilities into platform design (data model, LWC, Flow, Apex).
• Comfortable designing within a SAFe ART alongside PO/PM and engineering.
• 15 years full time education is required.

Nice to have

• CloudCraze/B2B Commerce experience.
• Salesforce B2B Commerce or Application Architect certification.
