Cloud Security Engineer(GCP)

Overview

Cloud Security Engineer (GCP) working on cloud workload, networking, threat modeling, data management, and security controls across software and infrastructure lifecycles.

What you'll do

• Help evolve cloud security guidelines and standards across major cloud platforms.
• Implement security-by-default controls in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure operations.
• Support platform and business teams with technical and organizational security and privacy measures.
• Assist engineering teams in addressing vulnerabilities and audit findings.
• Support remediation of identified risks, security alerts, and vulnerabilities with cyber defense and engineering teams.
• Define and execute best practices aligned with engineer way-of-working across development and agile lifecycles.

What you'll need

• Experience with Google Cloud and implementing/evaluating security baselines and best practices across native services.
• Experience with infrastructure as Code and policy as Code using tools such as Terraform and equivalent frameworks.
• Experience driving container security best practices (e.g., image hardening, admission control, runtime protection).
• Experience building and implementing cloud platform security controls across build, test, and deployment.
• Experience with cloud/platform networking security including firewall/load balancer management, segmentation, and identity-driven access models.
• Experience integrating security logging across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Proven security subject-matter expertise, mentoring, and raising awareness to security mandates.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of LLMs, AI, and agentic coding platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or Claude Code.
