Sr Prin IT Technologist - Network Security Engineer

Sr Prin IT Technologist focusing on Network Security Engineering for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid security.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate and integrate security technologies including endpoint protection, IAM, network security, and cloud security controls.
• Develop security architecture patterns, standards, and technical documentation.
• Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for new systems and applications.
• Support enterprise network controls and zero-trust network controls, including firewall rule reviews.
• Support security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Implement cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, or GCP and support secure CI/CD and secrets management.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 12+ years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Deep or mastery-level knowledge in the specialty area of security engineering.
• 10-12 years of hands-on experience in security engineering/cybersecurity (preferred).
• Strong understanding of network security such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and segmentation.
• Experience implementing and operating enterprise security tools.
• Solid scripting/automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, medical devices, or finance.
