Overview
CloudOps Engineer responsible for monitoring and maintaining a cloud application and its infrastructure, supporting production operations and incident resolution.
What you'll do
- Support production customers by monitoring and maintaining the cloud application and hosting infrastructure.
- Build scripts for operational automation and incident response.
- Handle cloud application deployment processes for an agile release cycle.
- Work on monitoring, tuning, maintenance, and support of Linux, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, and other cloud services.
- Define, measure, and meet operational metrics including performance, incidents, capacity, and availability.
- Run incident resolution and facilitate teamwork with other departments as required.
- Automate deployment of new software to the cloud environment in coordination with DevOps engineers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2-3 years of experience as a CloudOps Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- 2 years of experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform or another public cloud platform.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Docker, Chef, Terraform, or an equivalent.
- Hands-on coding and scripting experience (Java, Python, Bash, Perl and/or Ruby).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and tools (Jenkins or similar tools).
- Knowledge in collecting distributed logs/events and automating triggers based on events (Elastic Stack or similar).
