Overview
The Commercial Finance Analyst develops innovative solutions to deliver customer outcomes and drive growth while managing company risk/reward. The role provides commercial finance reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis for regional commercial teams and finance operations.
What you'll do
- Drive commercial finance operating rhythms by providing centralized finance reporting capabilities, commercial productivity metrics, commercial forecasting, and contributing to overall business growth.
- Lead commercial and financial planning, budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and analysis while supporting regional sales and commercial teams.
- Perform monthly closing and reporting for the India South Asia region and northern Europe ledger for the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business.
- Ensure accurate financials and explain variance drivers versus budget, prior year and prior quarter.
- Track actuals progress versus plan and provide meaningful insights and actionable outcomes to drive profitable growth and operational rigor.
- Collaborate on or lead cross-functional projects with the Global Finance team to drive simplification, standardization and/or improved rigor in key Operations and Finance processes for better and sustainable growth and profitability.
- Communicate with direct colleagues and business partners on finance-related matters.
- Provide informal guidance to new team members.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What you'll need
- CPA, CA, ICWA or an MBA from reputed institutions.
- 6-8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
- Clear thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience successfully leading projects or process improvements within Operations or Finance functions.
- Ability to quickly grasp new ideas.
- Integrity and adherence to high moral, ethical and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and dealings with others.
- Strong influencing skills across business functions.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment.
Nice to have
- Graduation from GE's Financial Management Program (FMP).
- Familiarity with US GAAP.
