Commvault Backup Administrator

Overview

Backup Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise backup infrastructure with multiple backup solutions.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and administer backup environments using tools including CommVault (primary).
• Configure and administer cloud-native workloads for AWS and Azure backup environments.
• Troubleshoot deep technical issues in backup environments and drive incidents to resolution.
• Generate and analyze backup reports, and conduct backup assessments and audits with gap-bridging plans.
• Execute incident, change, and problem management aligned to ITIL standards.
• Participate in DR exercises and support a 24x7 rotational shift/on-call model.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing backup infrastructures.
• Experience managing Azure and AWS native backup environments (certification preferred).
• Windows and UNIX server administration experience.
• Knowledge of storage, networking, and database concepts.
• In-depth ITIL process knowledge and certification (mentioned as required).
• Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes and service management tools such as ServiceNow/Remedy.
