Compliance, International Investigations Associate

Overview

Investigate complex crypto financial crime matters across multiple jurisdictions and support SAR/STR decisions, escalations and compliance programme improvements.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end AML/CFT investigations from alert review through disposition and SAR/STR submission.
• Conduct delegated MLRO reviews of suspicious activity and transaction reports.
• Lead proactive investigations using transaction data, on-chain activity, trading behaviour and OSINT.
• Develop intelligence on emerging typologies, threats and high-risk activity.
• Partner with MLROs, compliance, operations, law enforcement and external stakeholders.
• Improve investigation quality through case reviews, feedback, policies, procedures and training.

What you'll need

• 4+ years conducting and reviewing complex crypto financial crime investigations.
• Experience across retail and institutional transfers, spot trading and derivatives.
• Experience preparing, reviewing and filing SARs/STRs.
• Understanding of multi-jurisdiction AML/CTF regulatory obligations.
• SQL, blockchain analytics and other research techniques for data-driven investigations.
• Strong investigative judgement and long-form reporting skills.
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Details

• Remote role in the UK.
• Quarterly in-person working sessions are expected.
• Annual base salary: £55,620–£61,800 GBP.
