Overview
Join Adobe’s App Builder team as a Computer Scientist 1, building cloud-native applications, developer platforms, and scalable integrations for extensibility across Adobe products.
What you'll do
- Design, build, test, and maintain App Builder platform features.
- Develop scalable back-end services, APIs, and runtime components.
- Build front-end experiences with modern JavaScript frameworks and Adobe design systems.
- Create tooling, SDKs, templates, automation, and documentation.
- Work on serverless functions, event-driven systems, and service integrations.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, observability, and CI/CD.
- Integrate GenAI capabilities into developer workflows.
What you'll need
- 4–6 years of software engineering experience building production-quality applications or platform services.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience building APIs, services, or microservices in a cloud environment.
- Understanding of distributed systems, including scalability, resiliency, and debugging.
- Experience with test automation, source control, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
- Understanding of GenAI technologies including coding AI assistants, LLMs, agents, RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.
Nice to have
- Experience with serverless platforms, event-driven architectures, or API integrations.
- Experience building developer platforms, SDKs, CLIs, or framework-level tooling.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, performance tuning, and production support.
- Familiarity with secure application design, authentication, and enterprise integration patterns.
