Contract Manager

Overview

Contract Manager for Hitachi Energy’s Power Grids, Grid Integration (PGGI) business, supporting day-to-day contract administration and project execution in Gurgaon, India.

What you'll do

• Ensure assigned contract portfolio or projects follow contract and claim management methodologies per applicable procedures.
• Provide guidance and leadership on contract-related matters to cross-functional project team members.
• Develop contract management strategy considering risk, pricing, scope, and schedule based on company policies and customer requirements.
• Execute commercial contract aspects (payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Verify contractual obligations are fulfilled and identify any outstanding responsibilities during closeout.
• Support contract changes/claims using standard methodologies to identify, notify, enforce, or defend changes with third parties.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Economics or Law.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience on contracts under common law/Indian law.
• Preferably 10+ years hands-on experience in EPC projects in contract management and subcontract management functions.
• Solid experience in change management, claim management, and contract-related legal issues affecting proposal stage and/or execution.
• Ability to interface and negotiate with customers and subcontractors on contract and project matters including changes.
• Ability to work in a corporate office and/or project site environment.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
