Control Engineer – Drive Controls

Overview

Control Engineer responsible for developing and implementing PC drive controls and related application software for inverter drive systems and HMI interfaces.

What you'll do

• Develop application-layer software for drive controls for GE Power Conversion drives.
• Define requirements, architecture, specifications, and design/validation for inverter drive systems and auxiliary control architectures.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot HMI screens for operator interfaces and system monitoring.
• Implement and integrate industrial communication protocols and troubleshoot protocol-related issues.
• Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects and adhere to standards and requirements.
• Work autonomously, identify risks, plan activities, and document technical data.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Good understanding of C, C++, Python, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify coding structures to mitigate latency, performance, and maintainability.
• Medium-level experience in HMI screen development (design, implementation, and testing).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with communication protocols like MODBUS, EGD, Fastlink (or similar).
• Ability and willingness to work hands-on in test labs and at customer sites.
