Corporate Accountant

Overview

Corporate Accountant supporting month-end close, year-end audit, and balance sheet account reconciliations for Medline India in Pune.

What you'll do

• Prepare and/or approve monthly close data, journal entries, and financial reports.
• Support year-end audit by updating SAP, preparing and updating schedules, and preparing sections of audited statements.
• Perform account reconciliations that substantiate Balance Sheet values and provide strong control.
• Ensure processes produce correct GAAP accounting with sufficient documentation for procedures and purpose.
• Analyze operating financials, interpret results, and recommend a plan of action to improve the accounting process.
• Serve as backup for key individuals in the Corporate Accounting Department.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience applying GAAP knowledge.

Nice to have

• Certification: CPA, CGMA, or CMA.
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered pages, creating pivot tables).
• Ability to work with large amounts of data.
• Strong expertise in at least one area of GAAP.
• SAP, AS400, and QAD system experience.
• RDMS (Access, FoxPro, etc.) experience.
• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience.
