Cost Analyst - BIW / Mechanism ( Senior Engr / Asst Mgr )

Overview

Cost Analyst role within Finance & Control, focused on costing and reporting of commodity parts across project milestones, with responsibility for cost reduction and supplier challenge.

What you'll do

• Cost and report commodity parts based on milestones of each project (bottom costing, RFQ, COST, F4, IP/PB).
• Follow costing guidelines and reference data, and support updates to the CGL.
• Capitalize product and process data pertaining to the commodity (SQ, Infosite, cost reports etc).
• Give proposals for cost reduction opportunities in parts manufacturing processes.
• Challenge suppliers and stakeholders with proper technical and economic background explanations.
• Visit suppliers, collect required costing information, and identify cost reduction improvement opportunities.
• Support digital transformation of process and operations.
• Develop new process improvements and solutions for upstream projects.
