CPU Performance Architect

Overview

Join the SoC Performance Architecture team to shape next-generation client SoCs, driving performance modeling, analysis methodologies, and modeling infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Lead and execute research initiatives to enhance SoC performance, translating concepts into architectural models.
• Partner with architecture and design teams to deliver product-ready solutions.
• Model emerging microarchitectures and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Develop data-driven optimizations.
• Collaborate closely with validation teams to ensure performance features deliver measurable product benefits and meet architectural objectives.

What you'll need

• Computer architecture expertise, with course or project work focusing on at least one aspect of computer architecture; or a strong understanding of traditional data structures and algorithms or deep learning techniques, with an interest in applying them to computer architecture.
• Strong C++ or object-oriented programming skills.
• Minimum expected experience: B.Tech + 5 years, or M.Tech + 3 years, or Ph.D, with internships in the following areas.
• Experience in C++/SystemC TLM modeling.
• Experience in specific SoC sub-systems such as cache, memory or fabric.
• Experience with performance model or performance analysis of complex SoCs with latency, bandwidth and power expectations.

Nice to have

• Exposure to scripting or RTL validation environments.
• Exposure to bringing up or integrating performance/functional simulators and/or analysis of workloads.
