Overview
Design, build, configure, develop, and integrate SAP ABAP Cloud applications, APIs, integrations, custom code, reports, interfaces, and extensions to meet business process and application requirements.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and configure ABAP Cloud applications, APIs, and integrations.
- Develop and implement SAP Fiori applications and user interfaces using UI5 and related web technologies.
- Utilize SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for ABAP development, including its architecture and capabilities.
- Develop and integrate ABAP Cloud solutions, including custom code, reports, interfaces, and extensions.
- Collaborate with functional experts, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Optimize ABAP code for performance and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Review code for quality and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Support system upgrades and migrations and ensure ABAP code is compatible with the latest SAP versions.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
What you'll need
- Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience.
- 15 years full time education.
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming language, including object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Cloud ABAP and hands-on experience in RAP.
- Experience in clean core development using released API and Badi for development to do clean core development in tier 1.
- Experience with SAP Fiori, including its UI5 technology and related web technologies.
- Experience with SAP BTP, including its ABAP environment and related services.
- Strong proficiency in ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) and its role in data modeling and access.
- Strong proficiency in ABAP Development Tools (ADT) for development and debugging.
- Understanding of software design patterns and software engineering principles.
- Experience with agile project delivery methodologies, such as Scrum.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Familiarity with SAP modules like ERP, CRM, or S/4HANA.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- SAP certifications in ABAP or ABAP Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and its in-memory database technology.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
