Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Lead the effort to design, build, configure, and refine applications using the Pega Platform, serving as the primary point of contact and coordinating delivery across teams.

What you'll do

• Lead the planning and execution of application development tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead the initiative to design, develop, and configure software applications tailored to project requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact and main liaison for coordinating efforts across teams.
• Oversee the progress of development activities, troubleshoot challenges, and refine application features to enhance performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with and manage the team to perform as an SME.
• Make team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster professional growth.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience in Pega Platform.
• 15 years full time education.
• Proficiency in Pega Platform.
• Strong knowledge of application design principles and software development lifecycle.
• Experience in configuring and customizing software applications to meet specific business needs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the platform environment.
• Familiarity with integration techniques and working with multiple teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.
