Custom Software Engineering Lead

Overview

Own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions, leading teams through design and delivery as an SME in ServiceNow IT Service Management.

What you'll do

• Lead the technical vision and architectural framework for bespoke software projects across the full development lifecycle, from design concepts to final delivery.
• Set and enforce development standards to ensure consistency, code quality, scalability and performance aligned to business objectives.
• Lead the team and make team decisions, engaging with multiple teams and contributing on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to optimize project outcomes.
• Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and enhance overall team capabilities.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Proficiency in ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Strong knowledge of IT service management processes and best practices within the ServiceNow platform, including service mapping and event management.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable custom software architectures.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and provide clear guidance on complex software engineering challenges.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and quality assurance methodologies.
• Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams to integrate solutions that meet business requirements.
• 15 years full time education.
