Customer Journey Labs Software Engineer - BA4

Overview

Design, develop and deliver secure, scalable and resilient software, with primary accountability for PING ID solutions, combining hands-on engineering, technical oversight and project delivery ownership.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable and optimized for performance.
• Take part in software engineering activities, including coding, solution design, code reviews, architecture governance, troubleshooting and technical delivery.
• Build modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security controls and release automation.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, Product Owner, Solution Architect, Security, Platform, QA and other engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Support cross-platform initiatives through working knowledge of iOS development principles and mobile ecosystem standards.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and contribute to the organization's technology communities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and team growth initiatives.

What you'll need

• Ability to design, build, test and operate production services using ProofID Skillset, Java, JavaScript, Google Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to use AI engineering tools to accelerate research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation and documentation while applying sound engineering judgment.
• Experience building production services, distributed systems or shared platform capabilities.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data or domain models.
• Experience turning requirements and ambiguous problems into designs, prototypes and production-ready solutions.
• Experience with authentication, authorization and identity management.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly, collaborate across teams and time zones, and support other engineers through feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token exchange, policy systems, delegated administration, or identity data modelling.
• In-depth technical knowledge and experience in PROOFID skillset, Java, JavaScript, JUnit, API, Docker and Google Cloud platform.
• Comfortable providing technical guidance, code reviews and architectural direction.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agent identity and non-human identity.
• Familiarity with MCP, agent skills and other agent integration concepts.
• Experience working across multiple codebases, teams or product areas to ship cohesive outcomes.
