Customer Service Engineer

Overview

Provide field service support for analytical instrumentation across the United Kingdom, Ireland and Mainland Europe. The role covers repairs, maintenance, installation, validation and customer training for scientific products.

What you'll do

• Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, qualifications and installations of instruments and accessories.
• Validate instrumentation and support onsite user training.
• Organize monthly routine maintenance assignments.
• Maintain service documentation, manuals and quality-system records.
• Manage service spares, inventory, tools and calibrated test equipment.
• Complete and submit service reports, timesheets, expense claims and vehicle logs.
• Promote and sell instruments, consumables and service contracts.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of experience in a scientific or customer service environment.
• HND or equivalent in electronic engineering, science, biotechnology or a similar discipline.
• Full driving licence.
• Excellent people management and motivational skills.
• Understanding of analytical techniques, applications and instrumentation.

Nice to have

• Experience working in GMP environments.

Details

• Remote role in the United Kingdom.
• Field-based coverage preferred across North England and the Midlands.
• Occasional travel across the United Kingdom, Ireland and Mainland Europe.
• Full product training is provided.
