Overview
Cyber Engineer role in the Cyber Automation and Integration team, using code and integrations to connect cyber operations capabilities and improve security automation and tooling.
What you'll do
- Perform automation across standardized web-based API standards (REST, SOAP).
- Support AI platforms and enable teams to leverage AI platforms.
- Build context layers for AI and related enabling services.
- Build and maintain code bases across multiple projects.
- Develop and support playbooks and workflows using security automation tooling.
- Build integration capability across multiple tooling sources.
- Construct technical documentation for projects and developments.
What you'll need
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python and PowerShell.
- Ability to work within a wider team on complex projects.
- Ability to generate high-quality solution documentation and designs.
- Knowledge and experience dealing with APIs.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical or less technical audiences.
- Foundational knowledge of standard cyber security tooling (e.g., EDR, VM, firewalls, XDR, SIEM).
- Knowledge of secure development and best practices when developing.
Nice to have
- Building development pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Foundational knowledge of AI and AI enabling services.
- Certifications such as CompTIA+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
- Knowledge of Security Incident Response and tooling.
- Experience working in environments using Agile frameworks.
- Experience generating high quality reporting when required.
- Experience working in a security operations team (desired but not essential).
- Understanding of MCP and enabling services for AI.
- Understanding of SOAR tooling (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response).
