Data Analyst

Overview

Data Analyst role focused on analyzing and validating data across QA data management systems, feeds, processes, and databases.

What you'll do

• Review incoming client requests and translate requirements into technical acceptance criteria.
• Analyze client, product, operational, member, provider, and healthcare data to identify trends, issues, gaps, and opportunities.
• Investigate data defects/issues, discrepancies, missing data, and reporting defects, and support root-cause resolution.
• Create SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
• Review data files/feeds/outputs for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and business alignment.
• Oversee data QA functions to ensure accuracy of business rules and data integrity.
• Maintain a Confluence page on data projects and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 2+ years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 2+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups, filtering, reconciliation, and data comparison).
• Demonstrated experience analyzing large data sets and relational databases.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, payer/provider/member/claims/network/transparency/client delivery data.
• Experience using data visualization tools and presenting information.
• Familiarity with QA testing, user acceptance testing, and production release validation.
