Overview
Data Architect role focused on partnering with stakeholders to motivate change and sustain the Castrol data ecosystem. You will lead data ecosystem design, governance, and agile delivery across major ERPs and source systems.
What you'll do
- Partner with stakeholders across IT, Global Data & Analytics, FBT, and Castrol business units to support change and adoption of the data ecosystem.
- Manage the design of the Castrol data ecosystem, including data taxonomy alignment, data archetyping, and Snowflake data modelling.
- Govern the Data Management Framework repository covering data quality, governance, modelling, compliance, and data security across data areas.
- Act as an integrator for internal and third-party data interfacing to align with the Castrol strategic digital agenda.
- Work fluently in agile delivery models and act as SME, Product Owner, or Scrum Master depending on project needs.
- Recommend CI opportunities and capability development/toolkits to business stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Degree-level education in an analytical field, preferably engineering (or 10 years+ relevant experience).
- Deep experience delivering ERP data strategy and ETL transformation as part of a major ERP implementation.
- Experience with enterprise data lake delivery and major business transformation projects.
- Deep understanding of data modelling, data lineage, data normalisation, and data process design.
- Fluent use of queries, data models, and Power BI for insights generation and visualization.
- Expertise in one or more ERP systems (SAP/R3, SAP/S4, JDE) and ERP lineage assessments.
- Skilled in managing data modelling tools like ERStudio and across data quality and data security topics.

- Location: India - Pune.
- Work mode: Hybrid of office/remote working and shift timing in IST: 1:30pm to 10:30pm / 2:30pm to 11:30pm.
- Travel: No travel is expected.
- Relocation: Not eligible for relocation.
