Data Engineer

Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Engineer in Hyderabad, India.

What you'll do

• Participate in data warehouses across multiple databases.
• Identify opportunities for developing table schemas in the Technology and Data area.
• Review and analyze basic data management assignments that require research and evaluation.
• Provide recommendations for resolving complex data management situations and exercise independent judgment.
• Collaborate with technology colleagues and stakeholders, including internal and external customers if applicable.
• Design and execute data migration strategies from on-premises/legacy/other cloud environments to GCP.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of Data Engineering experience (or equivalent via work experience, training, military experience, or education).
• Python for building and maintaining scalable migration pipelines.
• SQL for migration pipelines and data transformation/validation.
• Distributed processing frameworks on Dataproc (Apache Spark).
• Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Kafka, and Google Pub/Sub for batch and streaming migration patterns.

Nice to have

• Migrate structured and semi-structured data to BigQuery, Bigtable, and other GCP storage solutions.
• Build and optimize pipelines for ingestion, embedding generation, indexing, and retrieval.
• Set up and operate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for secure LLM access.
• Build AI microservices using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and integrate internal/external APIs.
